Referral software for small business
How to turn the customers who already love your work into a steady stream of new ones — without paying for ads that don't convert.
Why referrals beat paid ads for small businesses
Australian small businesses commonly pay $50–$150 in Google Ads for a single conversion — and most of the clicks you pay for never become customers at all. A referral is different: it arrives with trust already built in, because a friend or family member vouched for you.
The problem is that word of mouth is hard to encourage and impossible to track by hand. Referral software exists to fix exactly that — it gives your customers a simple way to recommend you, and gives you a reliable way to know when it worked.
What to look for in referral software
Simple for customers. If sharing a referral takes more than a few seconds, people won't do it. Look for something built around a short code or link a customer can pass on in a text message.
Proof before payment. The biggest risk with referral rewards is paying out for referrals that never became real customers. Good software makes the new customer provide proof of purchase, and lets you verify it before any reward is approved.
Rewards you control. You should choose the reward — cash, a discount, store credit or a free upgrade — and be able to change or remove it. You should never be locked into paying rewards you didn't agree to.
Reviews alongside referrals. Referrals and reviews feed each other: a customer who can't refer a friend right now can still leave a review that wins you the next one.
How ReferrERR works
Your customers generate referral codes and post reviews about your business. When someone new uses a friend's referral code or relies on a review, they submit a claim to you with the details of their purchase.
You check the details and approve the claim — nothing is paid out automatically. Only then does your original customer receive the reward you offered, whether that's cash or a non-cash benefit like a discount or free extra.
Rewards are optional. You can join, collect reviews and benefit from referrals without offering a reward at all, and add one later if it suits your business.
Getting started
Create your business profile on ReferrERR, share your customer referral link, and let your customers do the recommending. You only ever approve a reward after a verified purchase.
